If you are interested in learning American Sign Language, the Sign It Curriculum was developed by Leah Coleman, the creator of Signing Time. You can complete lessons at your own pace, and it is free to parents of children 36 months or younger who are deaf and hard of hearing.

Hands and Voices is a nonprofit, parent driven organization dedicated to supporting parents of children who are deaf and hard of hearing. They are non-biased about communication methodologies, and believe that families can make the best choices for their children if given good information and support. This website has a wonderful resources for parents of deaf and hard of hearing children. You may also want to check out the website for the Iowa Chapter of Hands and Voices.
